The Boy Who Cries Wolf is set against the backdrop of an archaic world of images, populated by giants and dwarfs, fiery demons, wolves and angelic dear characters who are translated into contemporary and intimate personae. Using myths and fairy tales such as the narrative of the Brothers Grimm, the performers question the use of menacing stories to convey moral or controlling children by spreading guilt and fear.

Two boys are lost in a tangled forest; one is heavy, depressed, and the other is light and nimble like a deer. They wander from shimmering deserts into cold mountains, toward one another. This is a story about brothers, a man, and his demons, about the heavy feeling of guilt. Their inevitable encounter, the gravity of their bond, their playful demeanor.  The work is inspired by an old folk tale that conveys a continuous circle of transformation. Every movement, every formal gesture, refers to the previous act and the following one. The journey of the two men unfolds in the moonlight like a variegated, delusional fantasy. In an imagined rendezvous, they encounter fantastic creatures and each other, re-discovering themselves through primal means. The Boy, half-tragedy, half-comedy, is a tale of two brothers who must learn to exist among the wild animals of the forest, without becoming beasts themselves.
